Victorian English oak rustic buffet circa 1880 with drawers.

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely low sideboard from an English country house dating from around 1860-1880, hand-carved in stained oak. This decorative and well-made piece has aged beautifully, with plenty of country house charm and offers ample storage, particularly thanks to its two large upper drawers. It is a traditional butler's sideboard, designed for everyday use, functioning in a primitive manner as it originally did. The furniture has been cleaned, waxed, and polished; there are many signs of old patina, especially on the top, as well as a few small losses of wood, contributing to its antique appearance. Dimensions: Height 92 cm, Width 151 cm, Depth 42.5 cm. Wear consistent with age and use, slight discolouration.
