19th century long cloth cloth with iron grey rafters

the linen fabric is light and dense, shiny, with beautiful handcrafted chevron weaving, the strongest for the linen used in kitchens. Here, the beautiful memory of the parsimony with which we then kept the resources of the house: a seam in the middle of this long cloth, repair probably intended to keep even longer this useful object, now for us even more sensitive and beautiful.
