Vintage square plate in earthenware from the tenera collection designed in the 1960s by nils thorsson (1898-1975) for aluminia, a factory whose name disappeared in 1969 to make way for that of royal copenhagen. The stylized, very graphic peacock decoration of this dish, dating from before 1969, is due to the artist marianne johnson. The cobalt blue pattern is enhanced by additions of turquoise glaze, glazed by a thick and smooth cover. The dish is signed "ks mj", numbered 143/2884 and monogrammed on the reverse. Excellent condition, no cracks, enamel jumping or cooking defects to report.
