Its headquarters were in ransbach baumbach. Initially, it did not produce pottery and was exclusively a metal foundry. Later, it began producing ceramics. By 1955, it was producing 25 different vases in a range of sizes and decors. A large part of the production was exported to scandinavia and austria. Heinz hommerich (artistic director) developed a fiery red glaze in 1954, one of the first mass-produced glazes in germany. This glaze contained selenium, a toxic chemical. In 1955, upon johann üebelacker's death, the company was taken over by his three sons. Ü keramik collaborated with and later acquired the siershahn pottery company, which produced klinker ceramics. In 1960, ü keramik helped establish kilrush ceramics in ireland. The company went bankrupt in 1990. *** careful shipping and personal delivery available.
