Two tier mid-century travertine coffee table

A large two tier travertine and wood coffee table. Belgium, c1970s. A pleasing contrast of tones between the wood and the travertine creates functionality in the form of an option to use as a book case or storage location. We have raised the base as it creates an illusion of levitation with some simple wood blocks which are a later addition but are hidden so won't be noticed in placement.
