Bursts of color – set of 5 cups and 5 saucers by gaston gaubier for morvan. Each cup is a small work of art. Created by gaston gaubier, a ceramist close to the tammay pottery, these five cups and their matching saucers reveal all the richness of artisanal work that is both understated and poetic. What do they have in common Soft, balanced shapes, a beautiful thickness of turned clay, and the patina so characteristic of handcrafted pieces. What sets them apart Their unique hues, ranging from soft ochre to deep brown, including warm shades of beige and smoky gray. A warm monochrome, perfect for a bohemian table or an eclectic collection. These vibrant colors are achieved through a subtle blend of metal oxides (iron, copper, manganese, etc.) incorporated into the glazes, a technique mastered by gaubier and other ceramists inspired by tammay's heritage. A bit of history: based in tammay-en-bazois, morvan, the vincent family perpetuates a craftsmanship passed down for several generations. Influenced by the aesthetics of salt-fired and flamed stoneware, their creations combine rusticity and refinement, in the great tradition of burgundian potters. To offer or to treat yourself, to enjoy a tea, a coffee, or simply the pleasure of living ceramics. In very good condition. Signed under each piece. Very shiny, no chips or cracks. Dimensions saucer diameter: 13 cms, cup: 5.5 cms high, 6.5 cms diameter.
