Vintage Secla Majolica apple-shaped platter, made in Portugal.

Rare vintage ceramic plate in majolica style, depicting an apple in yellow-brown, red, and green colours. Made in Portugal by Secla (Sociedade de Exportação e Cerâmica Ltd), as evidenced by the mark on the bottom of the piece: the letter 'S' inscribed in a bulbous vase topped with a dot. The base also bears another inscription, which seems to indicate: P3215. Dimensions: just over 23 cm wide. Height: approximately 21.5 cm. Weight: approximately 590 grams. In excellent condition. Some superficial scratches. Beautiful crackled glaze (see close-up photos).
