Mid-century modern Scandinavian art glass lamp by Po Ström for Alsterfors

A handblown hooped sculptural bright green glass table lamp made and signed by P.O. Ström, widely regarded as one of Sweden’s most accomplished glass designers. His work is represented in museums and galleries worldwide and is celebrated for its exceptional quality in both form and colour. This elegant lamp features a softly curved, organic silhouette rendered in a deep green tone. The rich colouration and fluid form highlight the artistry of the handblown glass, giving the piece a sculptural presence even when unlit. As with all works by P.O. Ström, the balance between shape and colour is masterfully executed. Both functional and decorative, this lamp serves as a refined statement piece, suitable for a variety of interiors from mid-century modern to contemporary settings. The lamp has been newly rewired and is currently fitted with a European (EU) plug, suitable for Sweden and many EU countries.
