Sideboard

Furniture from the 1950s with its tubular steel base typical of boarding school furniture. This one comes from a school in ille-et-vilaine who sold it to finance school trips. The foot supported a simple open box with four boxes that served as the basis for a total transformation. Two beautiful custom doors were made at the same time as those made for the tv jazz cabinet, in solid oak and light rattan caning. This one contrasts with the two antique handles in brass and black bakelite and the base repainted in dark gray. The box was also dressed with a herringbone oak veneer to finish making it a highly decorative piece of furniture. Here is a piece of furniture full of stories ready to live new ones.
