After studying at the Berlin School of Fine Arts, Klaus Hempel began his career in the 1950s working for the furniture company Hülsta. He then founded his own design studio in Munich in 1960, where he worked for numerous German companies, such as BMW, Siemens, and Miele. Klaus Hempel is best known for his furniture and home accessories designs. Throughout his career, Klaus Hempel has won numerous awards for his work, including the Good Design Award in 1969 and the Red Dot Design Award in 1995. His designs are now exhibited in museums around the world, such as the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Museum of Applied Arts in Munich. These wall lights are among his most sought-after products. A plug system can be adapted depending on the country.
