Dessert service vine leaves J.P. Caffarelli Paris, 1950s –

Charming vintage service in faience signed Jean-Pierre Caffarelli, a ceramist trained in Choisy-le-Roi and Limoges, later settled in Menton (restorer of the ceramics from the Fontana Rosa garden). It includes: 1 large square presentation plate made up of several relief leaves, signed in relief "J.P. Caffarelli – Paris" (approx. 23 cm) 6 vine leaf-shaped plates, marked "CAFFARELLI" (approx. 18 cm) Celadon green glaze, veins and borders enhanced with gold. Ideal for dessert, fruits, cheeses, or as wall decoration. Condition: good vintage condition. Original glaze cracks (especially on the large plate), slight wear to the gilding in places, a small chip under the edge of one plate (see photo) and small chips on the heel of the large plate, invisible once placed.
