Grand mirror says bamboo but imitates bamboo; it is a carved wood, generally beech worked in the style of bamboo. One might forget its strangeness since it is making a comeback in our interiors. For a bit of history, the bamboo mirror enjoyed such success that its production continued into the 1940s. Its resolutely modern aesthetic has ensured this exceptional longevity. It is the result of a long maturation, an assimilation of an exogenous decorative element into Western aesthetics. A success! This large one is made of light wood patinated by time with small blemishes (wood loss).
