Rare pair of constructivist wooden chairs, purchased at Metz & Co., Netherlands, 1980s

An exceptional pair of Constructivist wooden chairs from the Netherlands, dating to the 1980s and originally purchased at the renowned Dutch design store Metz & Co. in Amsterdam. The chairs feature a striking geometric design with horizontal wooden slats forming the seats and backrests, supported by an elegant cantilevered construction. Particularly distinctive are the layered laminated plywood joints, creating a fascinating interplay of lines, angles and structural details. The warm natural wood tones and open architectural construction give these chairs a sculptural yet remarkably light appearance. A rare and highly decorative pair, combining Dutch modernist design with exceptional craftsmanship. Equally appealing as functional seating or sculptural design objects. Condition Excellent condition, with minimal signs of wear consistent with age and use. Beautiful natural patina.
