Art print "gyotaku of a sea bass" on textured laid paper 320gr/m2. Hand-signed by the artist with a red ink stamp. Certificate of authenticity provided. Frame provided, light oak strips and glass pane. Size 30 X 42cm. Originally from the tip of Finistère, I have always evolved with the sea. Met a few years ago, the art of marine print was obvious to me. Exploring the possibilities offered by stamping, I attach great importance to the transmission of the relief of each animal. Adopting refined tones, the vitality of my works is based on the movement and finesse of the print. I capture the majority of the subjects of my works myself. Fishing and spearfishing are sources of inspiration and strengthen my bond with the stamped creature. It is its encounter in a natural environment that allows me to capture all its vitality. Once back, I make sure to find the perfect arrangement for their fins, spines, or tentacles. Then comes the time for inking: my brushes apply the thin layer of paint on these bodies that will enhance them. A long process begins: each part of the animal requires a different inking depending on its pigmentation, texture, and the result I want to achieve. Finally, I place a thin sheet of mulberry paper on the painted creature: it is this that will capture the print. Delicately, I tap the paper so that it soaks up the pigments, then gently remove the sheet. As a final gesture, I affix my signature stamp in red ink.
