Great ceramic table lamp by Cari Zalloni for Steuler Mid Century Design 70s in orange. On the screen you will find a small abrasion. Otherwise the lamp is very well preserved. Dimensions: H = 62.5 D Shade = 35.5 feet = 20 Cari Zalloni (born August 20, 1937 in Athens, † July 3, 2012) was a designer. His father was of Greek-Italian descent. His mother is from Austria. He first lived in Greece, but the mother moved back to Vienna after the death of his father (1947), later moved to Stübing in Styria. In 1956 he graduated from secondary school Seckau. He dropped out of chemistry to study as a Master Class in Design at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna under Professor Oswald Haerdtl. In 1960 he started working as a designer. He went to Siena in Italy, where he designed furniture, but after only two years he went to Germany to work as a freelance designer. He designed glass jars for the decorative ceramics company Steuler-Keramik in Höhr-Grenzhausen and for the Glashütte Maximiliansau - a glassworks belonging to the WMF group. He moved to Salzburg in 1962. He was known as the chief designer of the ophthalmic optics company CAZAL EYEWEAR. He also designed drinking glasses and winter sports equipment.
