Verona-1012-h pendant light - kurt wiborg - jeka metaltryk denmark - 1980 h 22 cm - ∅ 46 cm magnificent danish pendant light, iconic in scandinavian design. Impeccably crafted, high-quality white powder-coated steel and perforated metal. Diffuses a soft, discreet light. The lamp shows slight signs of use, small scratches on the upper cylinder and a slight lack of paint on one of the smaller shades, nothing drastic. No deformation or discoloration. The lighting system is designed to create a glare-free light that diffuses soft light and shadows. Jeka is part of the tradition of modern danish design with names such as jo hammerborg, fog og mørup, bent karlby, lyfa, svend middelboe, nordisk solar and many others all working with the multi-shade system. A system first developed in the early 20th century by the famous architect poul henningsen for louis poulsen. The multi-lampshade system distributes light perfectly throughout the room without the bulb being visible. The system is still used by designers around the world. • description: pendant light, ceiling light • designer: kurt wiborg • manufacturer: jeka metaltryk • material: powder-coated steel • manufacture: 1970-1979 • origin: denmark • condition: excellent • dimensions: h 22 cm - ∅ 46 cm • weight: 2.3 kg • socket: e27.
