Exceptional set of six dining chairs edited by Welzel, a true testament to the organic refinement of the 1960s. Their design, marked by great sobriety, fits within the movement of high-quality Scandinavian furniture. The solid wood structure features a tapered profile and delicate curves reminiscent of the iconic creations of Niels Otto Møller for J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik. The horizontally slatted backrest, with its studied curve, evokes the precision work of Erik Buch or the geometric lines of Finn Juhl. These pieces combine the warmth of noble wood species with a visual lightness characteristic of Nordic modernism, making them ideal for integration into a demanding contemporary interior. They stand out with a solid wood structure featuring airy and dynamic lines, typical of the modernist design of the era. The slightly curved horizontally slatted backrest offers an elegant silhouette while ensuring excellent lumbar support. The craftsmanship is of great finesse, particularly in the joints of the legs and seat, highlighting the quality of production from the Welzel house. The seats are currently upholstered in a striped velvet fabric in sage green and cream tones. The wooden structures are in very good condition, stable and solid. The original fabric is in very good usable condition, showing a patina consistent with the age of the pieces. The butterfly screw fastening system under the seat allows for easy reupholstering if desired, according to your interior decoration projects. Joinery: Excellent structural condition, healthy wood with a superb natural patina. Seat: Original striped velvet upholstery. Modularity: The seat cushions are removable (secured by butterfly screws), facilitating reupholstering in a boucle wool or natural leather fabric.
