A pair of table lamps made by Nicolas De Waël for Fondica France, circa 2000. Each lamp rests on a circular base with three feet featuring a finely textured surface, topped with a slender hammered column. A curved side arm supports a small bowl adorned with stylised plant motifs, reflecting a decorative neo-baroque vocabulary typical of certain French productions from the 1970s. The whole piece has a patinated gold finish that highlights the relief and sculptural texture. The light fabric lampshades diffuse a soft light. One lampshade has a slight crease.
