Antique ironstone gravy boat, E.C. Salins Royal model

Antique ironstone gravy boat (early 20th century), from the Salins-les-Bains pottery factory. Its scalloped shape is enhanced by a delicate geometric frieze, in a timeless and understated palette of blue, yellow, and ivory. The warm, subtly crackled natural patina tells the story of this piece and gives it an authentic charm, highly sought after in contemporary decor. Stamped E.C. Salins (Édouard Charbonnier): produced shortly after Édouard Charbonnier acquired the Salins pottery factory in 1912, this gravy boat reflects a pivotal moment in the history of French tableware. In good antique condition, with a rich patina from age, a tiny hairline crack on one rim, and wear to the rim on the base (see photos).
