Oil on canvas still life by Jean Soulan / Bordeaux painter

Pretty still life by the artist jean soulan (1911/1972). Signed on the right, it is entitled "still life with quinces" Undated, it nevertheless corresponds to the still lifes made by the artist in the late 50s. For comparison, a small format of the artist (18 * 26) in still life sold at auction 629 € in bordeaux. Side dimensions: 46 * 55cm for the painting, 48 * 57cm with the painted wooden frame. In my humble opinion, a beautiful setting and a light cleaning would highlight it more. Note 2 gaps of pictorial layer (see photo) and at the back of the transparencies that we see only from the back. The price is set accordingly. Possibility to send or pick it up in bordeaux. Soulan (jean), born in bx in 1911, died in 1972.  Painter, student of the ecba of bordeaux from 1921 to 1931. Member of the bordeaux independents in 1928. Painter of poetic reality... Exhibitions: salon de mai in paris (1947-48) in menton, bordeaux... Jean soulan retrospective.
