Bistro chair x 1 (Art nouveau decor seat)

Bistro chair, only one unit of this model available. In curved beech, in the spirit of the chairs of thonet, fishel or other baumann. Wooden seat decorated in pyrography with a typical art-nouveau plant motif. No (or no longer!) manufacturer's label, but a "berc antoine" label, which was a business created in 1892 to supply all the necessary equipment to cafes, tobacco shops and restaurants. Chair in good condition with logical signs of wear, but nevertheless usable as is. (this chair was still used in a bar until recently) Brown / mahogany color finish, a fairly common color for this type of chair at the time, we can see that it has been varnished several times. Stable set, healthy wood, chair usable as is or after stripping to lighten it, it's a matter of taste! Dimensions width 42 cm, height 88 cm, depth 43 cm. Seat height 46 / 47 cm.
