Game table wallet often referred to as a bridge or bouillotte table. It features the Louis XVI style with straight, tapered, fluted legs, as well as connecting blocks adorned with small rosettes or simple geometric patterns. The legs end in small bronze hooves. It is made of honey-stained walnut with a white wood drawer interior, which is common for regional cabinetmaking or fine artisanal craftsmanship. The top opens in two like a book/wallet. The top pivots 90° to open to its maximum size with complete stability. The interior is lined with blue-green felt designed for card games so that the cards slide well and do not get damaged. The table has a front drawer with small pull knobs and a central lock entry, ideal for storing card games, tokens, or dice. Given the patina and construction, this is a table from the 19th century or a very fine piece from the early 20th century. It is a very elegant versatile piece of furniture that serves as a console or small side table when closed, and transforms into a friendly game table for 4 people once opened. Width 72, depth 43/86, height 74.
