Side table

Side table/desk in oak and stained beech attributed to Majorelle. The molded rectangular top with autumnal decoration is inlaid with rosewood and exotic woods with chestnut leaf motifs. This table opens in a belt with a drawer. The ribbed legs are twisted and connected by curved crosspieces. The work on the legs is remarkable and therefore a fabulous line to this table. French work, Nancy around 1900. Similar model in the bibliography of R.Bouvier and V.Thomes "Majorelle, a modern art of living". Unsigned copy. Splendid model in very good condition. Note some veneer restorations on the drawer (hardly visible because under the top) to be seen in the photos.
