Ichthyological plate after buffon. Reproduction on panel of an antique engraving signed in the board, inspired by an original of the nineteenth enhanced with watercolor. Three species are represented including the gray angelfish (pomacanto grigio). The board is offered in a gilded wooden frame, under anti uv treated glass. The frame is 52 cm high and 42 cm wide. The engravings are in excellent state of conservation. The frame shows traces of age-related wear. View detail photos. This setting decorated the walls of a prestigious hotel, Place Vendôme in Paris.
