Pair of caned chairs

The SULPICE chairs are called "queen's chairs" in the Louis XVI style, probably because of the pretty little carved wooden knot that adorns their backs. Their caning was entirely hand-painted, inspired by a chair by Sulpice Brizard presented in the Louvre's 17th and 18th century art objects collections. They are very decorative and form a complete landscape.
