Magnificent vintage ceiling light from the prestigious Lucien Gau house, dating from the 1950s-1960s. This light fixture combines an elegant structure in gilded metal (brass) with superb cut glass that has a crystal effect, finely chiselled to diffuse a homogeneous and refined light. The frame is decorated with patterns inspired by ancient friezes, a signature of the timeless craftsmanship of the house. The Lucien Gau house is renowned for the quality of its light fixtures, found in numerous museums, operas, and Parisian theatres, as well as in prestigious hotels and residences around the world. Condition: Very good overall condition. Beautiful original patina on the gilded/brass parts, consistent with its age. No label or manufacturer's plate present on the light fixture.
