Beautiful pair of shoji floor lamps lined with bamboo fiber kōzo paper. The lamps have been re-lined with imported awagami paper incorporating raw bamboo fibers. Dating: taishō [大正] (1912-1926). Authentic and traditional ambient lighting, bringing true japan into your interior. Dimensions: height 60.5 cm, width 26.5 cm, depth 26.5 cm. Both lamps have been rewired with a switch. A japanese shoji lamp is a type of lamp inspired by traditional japanese shoji screens. Shoji screens are constructed with a wooden frame and paper that is used as a translucent panel, allowing light to pass through.
