Black loom mallet from around 1850

Black lacquered weaver's, draper's, and upholsterer's trunk. Circa 1850. Found in Roubaix in the Hauts de France, in the attic of an old weaving factory passed down through generations. Accounting documents, stock management, etc. were archived there. 4 trunks available. Leather handles. Metal reinforcements. Very decorative. The canvas has been washed but is nearly 200 years old. Practical. Lightweight. Large storage capacity. Difficult to identify the manufacturer: possibly Lavolaille Paris Trunk.
