With its bold colors and generous pitcher silhouette, this large vintage Scheurich vase perfectly embodies the spirit of 60s and 70s interiors. Cylindrical in shape, it tapers into a narrow neck highlighted by a brown rim and features a wide ring handle. Its decor plays on a warm contrast: a bright, luminous orange glaze on the upper part that blends into drips of deep brown with almost metallic reflections. These dripping glaze effects, unique to each firing, make each piece one of a kind. The vase retains its original Scheurich label, purple and gold, and bears the embossed mark "408-40 W. Germany" on the bottom. Alone or filled with branches and dried flowers, it will add a beautiful touch of color to a sideboard, console, or mantelpiece. Founded in 1927 in Kleinheubach, Bavaria, the Scheurich factory became one of the largest producers of West German ceramics after the war, now highly sought after by collectors under the name "West German Pottery." The model 408, with its characteristic handle, is among its most iconic shapes and has been produced in numerous glazes over the decades. Note that the neck is damaged – a piece has been reattached.
