An elegant pair of small antique vases from the belgian earthenware factory hubert bequet in quaregnon, numbered 692 and 696 respectively under their bases. Although they are not a perfect pair—their bases differ slightly—they were made in the same series and complement each other very harmoniously. Their finely crafted decoration, typical of the bequet style, is enhanced by delicately applied and remarkably well-preserved gilding. These two handcrafted pieces, made in the 1950s, are distinguished by their remarkable state of preservation: not the slightest crack, chip, or fissure, and an intact shine. A very fine expression of post-war belgian know-how, at the crossroads of ornamental refinement and popular decorative aesthetics. - weight of the set: 0.400 kg -.
