Four-leg oak frame with a connecting stretcher on one side. The side panel and the recessed top with raised edges are crafted in teak. Designed by Yngvar Sandström for the Triva series by NK: s Verkstäder in the 1960s. Original manufacturer’s label present. The “Nikko” bedside table, designed by Yngvar Sandström for the Triva series by NK: s Verkstäder in the 1960s, stands out for its strongly graphic, almost sculptural conception, far removed from the conventional structure of a bedside table. The oak frame contrasts a solid teak side panel with an open side connected by a single stretcher, creating a distinctive asymmetrical balance between solid and open elements. The recessed teak top, framed by raised edges like a tray, completes a design in which every component has a precise formal as well as functional role. The original “Triva – NK: s Verkstäder Nyköping – Made in Sweden” label documents its production. Good condition. It may show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs. AG202.
