Majestic wall light (or ceiling light) of 50 cm in frosted Murano glass attributed to the German designer Egon Hillebrand (1914–2007) for Hillebrand Lighting, dating from the 1970s. This iconic piece of Mid-Century design with Hollywood Regency accents features a large round shade made of fritted glass – a technique that involves incorporating hundreds of tiny glass fragments into the glass during its production, giving it a heavy, frosted appearance that refracts light and bathes the room in a soft, enveloping glow. Mounted on a polished solid brass base and secured by three large round brass screws.
