Very beautiful antique wooden console table. Chippendale style, it is made of faux bamboo and its cane top is covered with clear glass. It is a good size and will be perfect in an entryway, a bedroom, as a bathroom vanity... In very good general condition, the cane is impeccable and the glass is not scratched. It is perfectly stable, robust and very clean. Visible signs of time: there is a very slight overflow of the glass plate on one of the corners. The Chippendale design was born in Europe in the mid-18th century. This style was born from the heart and hands of Thomas Chippendale, the famous London cabinetmaker, and marks the first time in history that a furniture style bears the name of the manufacturer. Until then, all models bore names of members of the royal family. Among the chinoiserie-inspired designs, Chippendale-style furniture incorporates pagoda motifs, bamboo turnings and carved latticework. Height: 75.5 cm. Width: 81 cm. Depth: 43.5 cm.
