This sublime pair of armchairs by Pierre Guariche, model Robert, is a true gem of French design. With their clean lines and original black skai, they perfectly embody the elegance and modernist spirit of the 50s and 60s! Published by Meurop around 1962, these armchairs reflect the fruitful collaboration between the famous French designer and the Belgian publisher, who managed to make functional and refined furniture accessible. The armchairs feature a black lacquered tubular metal frame, with wooden armrests and original black skai upholstery. They are in very good structural condition: the seat is firm and comfortable, with a sober and minimalist silhouette, in the pure tradition of Guariche. Some minor signs of wear are visible (slight stains, micro-marks on one backrest, and a small tear stopped on the underside of one seat – see photos), without detracting from their charm or usability. These armchairs have history, character, and a lot of style! A must-have for lovers of beautiful objects and authentic furniture. H 38 x H 74 x W 63 x D 60
