Murano glass table lamp, 1950-1960

Murano blown glass table lamp. Made using the typical technique of white spots and a central body in striped lattimo, a very recognisable combination in the Venetian style of Murano from the 1950s-60s, known for its irregular decorations and the use of white lattimo. The shade features hand-blown glass with hot-applied spots, while the central part showcases striped lattimo work, typical of Murano furnaces of the time. The base is made of silver-plated metal, solid and heavy, with few signs of wear but no oxidation or patina, perfectly consistent with its age. The lamp is in excellent condition: the glass is perfect, the wiring is original but in excellent condition and fully functional. Origin: Italy.
