This beautiful pyrite blue sandstone pot in two parts is a water butter maker, signed by ceramists thierry and chantal robert, ponce sur le loir, 1970. It is also a very beautiful decorative piece: contrast of bluish gray enamel and brown pyrites. We like the relief of ceramic with the pimples of the lid, like rays of sun, and the grooves of the bowl or borrowed from the potter's wheel. Originally, made to store butter at room temperature. The recipe: tamp the butter in the lid with holes, spill it in the jar filled with water, change the water every 3 days. The butter will keep at the right temperature without breaking the rusks! Practical, authentic and aesthetic! It is in perfect condition (maybe just slight friction on the lid button or due to manufacturing).
