Scandinavian design sofa "Paradiset" by Kerstin Hörlin Holmquist, circa 1960

This paradiset sofa was designed by kerstin hörlin-holmquist in 1964 and was produced by nordiska kompaniet in sweden. It is characterized by its beech feet. At the beginning of 2021, it was completely reupholstered inspired by the original fabric. The springs, foam, the entire structure has been overhauled and the defective parts have been changed. It is like new and offers very good comfort! Famous for her curvilinear armchair and sofa designs using wood and, in new ways, polystyrene, kerstin hörlin-holmquist is a swedish modernist architect and furniture designer, from a strong generation of scandinavian women designers of the turn of the century, alongside nanna ditzel, grete jalk, and tove kindt-larsen.
