A magnificent platter made in 1912 by Adderleys Ltd in English stoneware, in the style of the famous 18th-century Nankin pottery. This lovely dish features a dark blue border, different from the one typically associated with the English Willow Pattern, and does not depict scenes of meadows and gardens with weeping willows. This pattern incorporates an Imari-style border with figures holding lamps, gardening, and sitting under a tree. The registration number printed on the back of the dish indicates that this pattern was registered in 1912, so it can be assumed that it was made at that time. The dish is in good vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing, but it does have some scratches on the central white area, small glaze marks on the white, and a few firing marks. The edges are also slightly worn, but this dish is perfectly usable for your table. The platter measures 30 cm X 24 cm and weighs 540 g without packaging. A lovely piece of English porcelain to add to your collection, to use on your table, or to display as a beautiful decorative plate in your home.
