Grand French Louis XV Gilt Bronze Glass & Crystal 8 Light Cage Chandelier 4085

French antique louis XV gilt bronze glass and crystal 8 light cage chandelier.the chandelier is in the style of a central 4 sided cage formation with the 8 arms sitting in pairs between the cage. The arms lead to leaf shaped candle drip holders and the candle drips are in cream. The chandelier is adorned with beautiful crystal pendants, flowers and beads in a array of shapes and sizes with a cut glass ball hanging in the centre of the cage, and from the bottom decorative finial. The chandelier is also decorated with glass prism embellishments one on each arm of the cage and one in the centre at the bottom. The chandelier hangs from one decorative link a bar and matching ceiling fitting.the light has french twin core wiring and takes 8 small screw in bulbs e14s. The bronze has a deep aged patina reminiscent with its long life. All the glass pieces and crystals are bright and complete with no visible cracks. The crystals may have small nibbles nothing that detracts from their beauty. The candle drips are in good used condition with marks associated with age. We take great care in packaging our crystal chandeliers but on some occasions the crystals can come away and it is down to you to rehang them which is a simple process.
