Rare vintage wall shelf, model "Pocket" - Tomado '72 / '73

Since its launch in 1958, tomado has launched many pocket book holders / wall book holders in different variants. The wall book holder 'system 60' is probably the best-selling and therefore best-known model. However, the 'pocket' model offered here is very rare, as this variant was only produced for a very short time: only in 1972 and 1973. And especially rare with sliding bookends. This steel wall shelf model is a design by adriaan dekker & van mierenuit. Dimensions: h53.5 cm X d11.5 cm X l48.5 cm. Despite these modest dimensions and the light and airy design, this is a remarkable book holder. Is in neat vintage condition; shows minor signs of use consistent with normal use and age. The boards (yellow, white and red) are in their original paint! And stamped “tomado holland”.
