Charming set of 7 stoneware cups from the digoin factory which has existed since 1875. The beige, brown and caramel enamel with golden highlights is warm and cozy. We can imagine ourselves, curled up in a cozy armchair, sipping a good coffee behind a bay window! But come summer, they will also make pretty cups for enjoying lemonade. The enamelling obviously presents small differences from one cup to another, some are a little more "golden", on others you can see the ringed shape a little more and one of the cups has a very slightly larger diameter. Small than the others (2mm less). On each one you can see the stamp “digoin made in france grespots” underneath. These cups probably date from the 60s or 70s, a period when enameled stoneware was very popular. They are in very good condition, no cracks, but show rare signs of their age and use: one of them has a small chip on the enamelling at the rim and a small lack of enamelling, original I think, at the bottom, and a second has a tiny chip on the enameling at the rim. They measure 9.5 cm in height, with a diameter of 8 cm when opened. I am offering many other objects and furniture, including another set of digoin glasses (ref 956c48fe).
