Forest landscape, view of the river. Framed painting, 38 x 45 cm. Oil on hardboard, 20th century, signed. Gaston Blondeau (1886-1979), French painter active primarily in the first half of the 20th century. He is known for his Orientalist subjects. A very beautiful painting, clean, well-framed. See the photos: very clean, beautifully executed with that shaft of light illuminating part of the river and the bridge. It is a beautiful, profound, and exquisitely detailed work.
