Original vintage circus poster from 1941 showing the colorful artwork of a laughing clown from the famous cole circus. American circus advertising began in the late 18th century with the printing of handbills and newspaper announcements followed by the production of beautiful posters. This golden age of circus posters started with the perfection of lithography which were used to highlight acts or unique features of a circus. Framed and ready-to-hang with ash wood frame behind antireflective acrylic glass. Poster size without frame: w 36 cm X h 55 cm. Good condition with slight signs of usage.
