6 ironstone plates Saint-Amand Hamage – Byzantine decoration

Set of 6 flat plates made of ironstone, signed Saint-Amand & Hamage Nord, model “Byzantine”. Delicate frieze of scrolls and small stylised flowers inspired by Byzantine art, printed in deep blue-green shades. Each plate features a slightly different pattern in the intensity of the hue — a subtle variation typical of the semi-handcrafted work of the pottery of the Belle Époque. Stamped Saint Amand and Hamage Byzantine model. In beautiful vintage condition, with a lovely glaze shine, some discreet signs of age: patina, very light crazing, a few minor nicks on the edges, and some micro-scratches from use (see photos). Diameter 23 cm. A refined and decorative set, perfect for a chic classic atmosphere or family home.
