Partial Art Deco service, Faïencerie de Badonviller, "Flower Basket" decoration and geometric frieze, 1920-40 (4 pieces) Description: Partial set of antique tableware in faience from the famous Badonviller factory (marked "PB" on the back), typical of the Art Deco period (between the 1920s and 1940s). This service illustrates the charm of popular table arts from the interwar period, characterised by a two-colour stencil decoration (red/burgundy and green) combining a strict geometric checkerboard frieze on the edges and a very expressive central motif representing a basket filled with flowers. Composition and dimensions of the lot (4 pieces): A soup tureen/vegetable dish with lid: Dimensions of 30×14 cm. A circular platter: Diameter of 28.5 cm. An oval dish: Dimensions of 21×16 cm. A bowl/small serving container: Dimensions of 17×6.5 cm. Condition: The set presents beautiful bright colours and an authentic charm. The pieces are in good structural condition except for a hairline crack on the lid of the soup tureen (see last photo). Ideal for completing an existing service, a collection of Lorraine faience, or for vintage table decoration.
