Walnut. W 128 X h 40 X d 93 cm. Glass tray: 19 mm. Designed by isamu noguchi. The table is evidence of noguchi's belief that "everything is sculpture." Isamu noguchi had met giacometti and brancusi during a guggenheim fellowship trip to paris in 1927, and returned to the united states with the intention of blurring the boundaries between monumental sculpture and organic furniture design.
