Lightball flush mount ceiling light designed by Achille Castiglioni and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos in the 1960s, one of the most recognizable outcomes of Italian design from the period, where formal rigor meets functional intelligence. The fixture features a wide chromed metal dome with a highly reflective surface paired with an opaline glass spherical diffuser. This balanced geometry produces a soft, evenly distributed light, while the mirrored finish enhances the surrounding space. Clear and immediate in its design, Lightball perfectly reflects the Castiglioni methodology — removing the superfluous to achieve objects that are durable, legible, and still remarkably contemporary. Decades after its introduction, it retains a strong architectural presence while remaining highly versatile. Suitable as a primary light source or installed in multiples, it integrates effortlessly into both modern interiors and more layered environments. Fitted with one E27 bulb. Condition: good overall condition, chrome shows minor spotting in some areas. Dimensions: Diameter 42.5 cm – Height 30 cm. Ref.: L0853.
