Magnificent round plate in fine English earthenware (ironstone) from the famous Ridgway factory, Staffordshire, England, iconic model "Windsor". This model features a superb transferware design in blue and white shades. The centre of the plate is adorned with a bucolic and refined scene, showcasing lush flowers and two flying pheasants, all surrounded by an elegant lobed and scalloped border. This is a beautiful reissue from the 1960s of a great classic from the 19th century. Stamped on the back: "Genuine Hand Engravings by Ridgway of Staffordshire England Est. 1792 – Windsor". Perfect for enhancing a collection of English china, setting a lovely retro table, or being repurposed as a wall decoration. Very good overall condition: no cracks or chips. The earthenware retains a lovely shine. Slight surface micro-cracks may be present, natural and related to the age of the piece, giving it all its charm and authenticity.
