Napoleon III era smoking lamp

Smoking table, topped with an adjustable-height oil lamp. The structural elements are lavishly crafted and decorated, as is the bronze base. The tabletop is made of stone, possibly yellow onyx, set within a patinated brass inlay. All the elements are original except for the lampshade. However, the entire piece has been wired to accommodate a light bulb. The lamp works perfectly. A beautiful decorative object, authentic, functional, rare in this exceptional condition!
