Designed by Jaroslav Beyvl Sr. for Lustry n.p. Preciosa, Kamenický Šenov, this crystal table lamp was made in Czechoslovakia in the 1970s, a period when the country's glassmaking gained international renown. The lamp exemplifies the geometric precision and clarity of the material characteristic of Czechoslovak modernist lighting design. Composed of cut crystal panels mounted on a brass structure, it diffuses light through its textured glass surfaces, creating a soft, subdued glow. This craftsmanship testifies to the collaboration between Preciosa and Osvětlovací sklo, Valašské Meziříčí, renowned for their technical excellence in the field of lighting glass. This piece, which has remained intact and in perfect condition, represents the timeless elegance and sculptural character of Czech glass design from the 1970s.
